  2. TYPE OF DATA PROCESSED AND PURPOSES OF THE TREATMENT
    Type of data processed
    • a. Navigation data
      The IT systems and software procedures designed to run this website acquire, during their normal operation, personal data implicitly transmitted in the use of internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with the identified parties involved, though by its very nature it might allow for the identification of the user, through processing and associations with data held by third parties. This set of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers users by users connecting to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained as a reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the reply provided by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating software and the TI environment of the user. The data is only used to obtain anonymous statistical information about the use of the website and to ensure it works correctly and is deleted immediately after being processed. The data is only used for statistical information (and is therefore anonymous) and to ensure the Website works correctly. The data may be used to determine responsibilities in case of computer offences to the detriment of the website. At the moment, data about online contacts is not held for more than seven days. In any case, data about online contacts are not held for more than six months, subject to any verifications carried out for computer offences to the detriment of the website.
    • b. Data voluntarily provided by users/visitors (Optional nature of the provision of data)
      As well as the above specifications for navigation data, users/visitors are free to provide the personal data reported in the request forms or in any case indicated in the ‘contacts’ section to request the transmission of information. Failing to provide them may prevent us from meeting the request. The optional, explicit and voluntary transmission of emails to the email addresses specified on this website shall result in the subsequent acquisition of the email address of the sender, which is required to meet requests, as well as other personal data included in the message. If, as they connect to this website, users/visitors send their personal data to access specific services, i.e. to submit requests via email, this involves the acquisition by LM of the email address of the sender and/or any other personal data, which will be only processed to reply to the request, i.e. to provide the service. The personal data provided by users/visitors will be transmitted to third parties only if the communication is required to meet the requests of the users/visitors themselves
    • COOKIES
      Definition
      Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the users send to their terminals, where they are saved to then be retransmitted to the websites themselves upon every subsequent visit via the terminal itself. Moreover, every website can allow for the transmission of so-called “third-party” cookies, i.e. those generated by websites other than the one the user is visiting (via items featured in it, such as banners, images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains).

      Distinctions
      According to their duration, they are distinguished in:
      • session cookies (i.e. the temporary ones deleted automatically by the terminal at the end of the navigation session by closing the browser); they are not persistently saved on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed); and in
      • persistent cookies (i.e. the ones that remain saved on the terminal up to their expiry or deletion by the user).

      Purposes
      Cookies have various purposes, which are briefly described here below:
      - they are used to transmit the communication or to provide the service requested by the user;
      - they enable and optimise the operation of the website, allow for the performance of IT authentications and prevention of abuses, monitoring of sessions, improvement of users’ navigation experience;
      They are called “technical” cookies (the user’s consent is not required to use them), as without them some operations cannot be carried out or would be more complex and/or less secure. Otherwise, if the cookies are used for additional purposes, typically to analyse behaviour and send customised offers and advertising (so-called “profiling” cookies) or even just to obtain, via services provided by third parties, information in an aggregate form about the number of users and how they visit the website (so-called “analytics cookies”), the consent of the user is required. Indeed, before transmitting these cookies on the terminal, pursuant to current regulations (Privacy code and General provision of the Watchdog dated 08/05/2014), when you access the home page or another page of the website, you will immediately see a banner briefly explaining how the cookies are used and providing your consent. The user can grant it and keep on browsing the website by selecting an element below the banner or by closing the banner itself. In any case, cookies can be read or modified only by the website that generated them. They cannot be used to recall any data on the user’s terminal and cannot transmit viruses.
      How cookies are used on this Website
      No personal data of users is acquired in this regard by the website. Cookies are not used to transmit personal information and no kind of so-called “persistent cookie”, i.e. to track users, are not used.
      The use of so-called session cookies is strictly limited to the transmission of session details (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) and required to allow for the secure and efficient exploration of the website.
      The so-called session cookies used on this website avoid having to resort to other IT resources that might affect the confidential nature of user navigation and do not allow for the acquisition of personal data identifying the user.

      This Website may use “session cookies” and “persistent cookies”.
      The types of cookies generated directly by this Website are: "technical” cookies, used for:
      - the authentication and management of a navigation session;
      -security purposes; - the customisation of the user interface; - better usability of the website and its audio-visual content; - the correct operation of the connection.

      “Third-party” cookies
      This Website also allows for the transmission of third-party cookies with which LM comes into contact, to the user’s terminal. As the technical intermediary, LM only sends these cookies, but does not manage their operativeness (which means that it does not have control and access to the information supplied/acquired), as their operation is the responsibility of third parties. Third parties consist of individuals whose services LM relies on to collect aggregate/statistical information about users who visit this Website.

      Browser settings
      Users can manage their cookie preferences via the features available on commonly-used browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari), which are employed to delete/remove cookies (all or some of them) to change the browser settings in order to block the transmission of cookies or limit it to specific websites (compared to other ones). Disabling cookies does, per se, not prevent you from using the services of the Website. However, if all the cookies are deleted/blocked, including technical ones, this might prevent some operations from being carried out or they might be more complex and/or less secure, as in the case of the performance of activities in Reserved Areas of the Website (indeed, cookies are used to carry out and maintain the identification of the user as part of the session).
    • WHY’, HOW and WHERE THE DATA IS PROCESSED
      Purposes
      The data may be collected for one or one of the following purposes:
      - to provide access to reserved areas of the Portal and Portals/websites connected with this one and upon the transmission of communications, including advertising, news and updates about LM’s initiatives.
      - the possible transfer of this data to third parties, again with the purposes of creating marketing campaigns via email and for the transmission of advertising; - to meet the obligations required by laws or regulations;
      - to manage contacts;

      How the data is processed
      The data is processed with computer-based and online means and/or manually (e.g. on a paper-based support) for the time strictly required for the purposes for which they were collected and, in any case, in accordance with the provisions of applicable regulations. The data will be processed as follows:
      - single-opt data collection in a designated database;
      - recording and processing on a paper and/or magnetic media;
      - organisation of the archives, mostly in an automated way, pursuant to the Technical Rules and Regulations relating to minimum security measures, Annex B of the Privacy Code.
      The personal data is processed with automated instruments for the time strictly required to meet the purposes for which it was collected.
      Specific security measures are observed to prevent the loss of data, illegal use or misuse and unauthorised access.
      Collected data may be transmitted to:
      - parties who need to access the data, in line with Laws or secondary and/or EU regulations.

      Where the data is processed
      The processing associated with the online services of this website is carried out at LM’s premises only by technical staff of the Office appointed to perform the processing or by personnel that might be appointed for occasional maintenance work. If needed, the data associated with the newsletter service may be processed by the company’s staff taking care of performing maintenance on the technological part of the website, Tonidigrigio snc (the data processor pursuant to article 29 of the Personal data protection code) at the premises of the company itself. No data deriving from the web service is transmitted or disclosed. The personal data provided by users sending requests for the transmission of informative material is only used for the purposes of performing the requested service.
